He has been writing and playing a mixture of Country, Gospel and Bluegrass since he was a teenager. During the late 80's and early 90's, Wade was developing a style all his own. In 1993, he went into the studio and completed his first album, but it wasn't until a few years later that he started gaining credit as an accomplished singer\/songwriter. Wade and long time friend, Jerry Phifer got together and wrote a powerful ballad titled, \"One From An Orphan's Home\". This song was extremely well received and landed Wade a spot at the world famous MGM Grand in Las Vegas. \"It was an unbelievable feeling. We performed an acoustic version and after we finished there were tears in about everybody's eye and we received a standing ovation that seemed to last forever.
