About the Artist
Newell Oler is product of the state of Texas. Born in Tyler, raised in Mount Pleasant, Texas he studied piano at The University of North Texas, Southern Methodist University, and at Midwestern University.
Born with perfect pitch perception/retention, Newell's music won over all his other interests and became a way of life.
Teaching, performing, and finally recording and marketing his piano renditions seems to tell it all up to this point.
His piano interpretations remind us of things long forgotten from uncluttered youth, when there was a more simple spirituality in all of life. His music speaks with a familiar voice in a very expressive language.
Listeners have said his music has the capacity to turn on a light inside some room in their minds that has been a long time lost. Not only does an eerie and unusual skill show through his music, the music selected is of a certain kind.
